The Villa Maria School of Nursing undergraduate and graduate programs and certificates are approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) http://www.ccneaccreditation.org.

The Villa Maria School of Nursing offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.

Undergraduate Programs (described here):

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing

    • program, a traditional four-year degree for students without prior nursing experience

    • Two RN-BSN programs

      • program, for registered nurses with an associate degree in nursing from an accredited program

      • program, for registered nurses with a hospital diploma in nursing

    • program, for registered nurses who hold the BSN degree seeking to meet the Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements for certification as a School Nurse

  • Master of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner

  • Graduate Certificate - Family Nurse Practitioner

  • Doctor of Nursing Practice

  • BSN-DNP Nurse Anesthesia

Ruskin Graduate and Doctoral Programs (see the Ruskin Catalog):

The Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing shall not issue a license or certificate to an applicant who has been convicted of a felonious act as identified in the Nurse Practice Act No. 1985-109. See complete policy in Villa Maria School of Nursing Handbook.

Proof of current health records including a physical and specific healthcare provider testing and required immunizations, health insurance, child abuse clearance, criminal clearance, finger printing, American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification, and the ability to meet the nursing student performance standards are required.
