Name
Learning Objective 1
Objective
The student will demonstrate an understanding of the application of general chemical principles, most notably chemical bonding, acid-base chemistry and thermodynamics, to the study of biomolecules and biochemical reactions.
Name
Learning Objective 2
Objective
The student will demonstrate an understanding of the structure, chemical behavior and function of relatively small biomolecules, including amino acids, monosaccharides and fatty acids.
Name
Learning Objective 3
Objective
The student will demonstrate an understanding of the structure, chemical behavior and function of the four major of classes of bio- macromolecules (proteins, polysaccharides, lipids and nucleic acids).
